The 4-star Hotel Le Tegnùe is in a fabulous location, just a short distance from the lagoon landscape of romantic Chioggia, which, with the fine sand beaches in Sottomarina and magnificent seafloor in the Tegnùe marine reserve, create the enchanting settings for this unique hotel dedicated to the sea.


Not far from Sottomarina, Chioggia narrates a centuries-old history that needs no introduction, the one of a fishing village rich in traditions tied to the sea, the toil of its fishermen and its delicious cuisine.




The Tegnùe is a naturalistic precious treasure declared a biological protection area in 2002, marked by 11 bright buoys, where fishing is forbidden in order to preserve and value this extraordinary oasis of biodiversity.

 

At a depth varying between 15 and 40 meters, the divers can immerge into a world of sponges, hermit crabs, anemones, rockfishes, congers, lobsters and other scenic and showy animals and plants, in shape and color: a real paradise for sea and scuba lovers.

 

Scuba divers can explore the Tegnùe thanks to the local associations and diving centers in Sottomarina who periodically organize events and dives in the most interesting places.


HOW TO REACH US

  • By car

    From Austria (Innsbruck): From the Brennero A22 highway to Verona, take the A4 highway to Venice/Mestre and take State Road SS 309 Romea towards Ravenna, exiting at Chioggia.


    From Austria (Villach): Take the A23 highway to Palmanova and then the A4 highway to Venice/Mestre and take State Road SS 309 Romea towards Ravenna, exiting at Chioggia.


    From Milan: Take highway A4 to the Padova Est exit. From here, take SS 516 Piovese to SS 309 Romea heading towards Ravenna and exit at Chioggia.


    From Bologna: Take highway A13 to Ferrara Sud and follow the Ferrara/Lidi Ferraresi expressway to SS 309 Romea heading towards Venice and exit at Chioggia.


    From the South: Take highway A14 to Ravenna and follow SS 309 Romea towards Venice, exiting at Chioggia.

  • By train

    From Padua: from the Padua train station, take the SITA bus to Chioggia which departs every 30 minutes until 8 PM. Get off at the last stop in Sottomarina (Piazzale Europa). The Hotel Le Tegnùe is just a five minute walk away.


    From Venice: from the Santa Lucia train station, walk to Piazzale Roma where an ACTV bus departs every 30 minutes for Sottomarina, stopping close to the hotel.


    From Rovigo: few trains run between Rovigo and Chioggia. We suggest you take a taxi (55 km).

  • By plane

    The Venice “Marco Polo” international airport is 50 km away. Take the ACTV bus:  line 5 (orange) to Piazzale Roma. From here, take the blue bus to Chioggia which departs every 30 minutes (a 45-minute ride). Alternatively, you can take a cab.


    The Treviso 'Canova' airport is 70 km away. Some companies provide Eurobus service from the Treviso airport to Venice (Piazzale Roma). Once in Venice, take the ACTV bus (blue) to Chioggia which departs every 30 minutes (a 45-minute ride).
